The self-service gap

14%

14% get resolved 73% try

Only 14% of customer issues get fully solved in self-service, even though 73% of customers try to solve them on their own.

The top reason it fails: in 43% of cases, customers couldn't find content relevant to their issue. Your help center has the answer, buried in a wall of text people skim and abandon.

You're in good company

The best support teams already answer with video

Slack, Notion, Canva and other teams you know put tutorial video where customers look. It used to take a studio, thousands of dollars, and weeks of calendar time. Brevid gives every help center the same, from a single walkthrough.

Companies that publish video tutorials in their help centers, including Slack, Notion, Figma, Shopify, HubSpot, Zoom, Dropbox, Stripe, Zendesk, Canva, Asana, Airtable, Webflow, Atlassian, Intercom, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Miro.

We produce the video.

AI does the work. You stay in control. Walk through the task in our hosted browser. No screen recorder, no mic, no camera. Brevid builds the video one stage at a time: script, voice, base video, and an optional on-screen presenter. You check each step, tweak what you want, and regenerate until you're happy.

You don't need editing software, a voiceover artist, or a production team. Just your own knowledge, turned into a finished video.

Deploy

Embed it where customers
already look.

Drop the video into your help center, docs, release notes, or onboarding emails. Or just share a link. The Brevid player embeds anywhere, with no separate portal and no new logins to manage.

It works the same on any platform. Deeper integrations, like one-click publishing to Zendesk, are on the way.

Regenerate.

Your walkthrough is saved, not thrown away. When the product changes, hit regenerate. Brevid replays it against your updated interface and produces a fresh video, keeping the script and voiceover you already approved. Your whole library stays current without a reshoot.

There's no editor to re-hire, no voice artist to book, and no afternoon lost to a single tutorial. What once took hours and hundreds of dollars now takes a few minutes.

Measure Beta

Deflection you can
put a number on.

Brevid estimates how many tickets each video deflects from matched help-article traffic, priced against your own cost per ticket. It shows the methodology in-product, so it's a number you can actually audit.

It's in beta, available once you have about 60 days of data. So when your VP asks whether self-service is working, you can give a real answer instead of a deck full of assumptions.

Same video, more jobs

One walkthrough, wherever the answer is needed.

Support is the wedge. The same tutorial video also pays off in onboarding and customer education, with no reshoot and no new tool to buy.

Questions

The things teams ask first

Do I need a screen recorder, browser extension, or microphone?

None of them. You open Brevid, walk through the task in your own product inside our hosted browser, and we generate the narration, cursor, smart zooms, and captions. No app to install, nothing to set up on your machine.

We already run an AI chatbot (Fin, Ada, Decagon). Why also Brevid?

They live in different layers. Your chatbot automates answers inside the chat window; Brevid is the content layer that resolves issues before a conversation ever starts, and the same video becomes the article your bot falls back to when it can't answer directly. The two work together rather than replace each other.

What happens when our product UI changes and the video goes stale?

Just hit regenerate. Your walkthrough is saved, so Brevid replays it against the updated interface and produces a fresh video. Your approved script and voiceover carry over untouched, and you only regenerate those if the steps themselves changed. No editor to re-hire, no voice artist to book, no reshoot.

Where can I publish the videos?

Anywhere. The Brevid player embeds in any help center, welcome email, in-app guide, or release-notes post, and it's the surface that deflection estimates will read from once that lands (planned for early access). Prefer not to use it? Every video is also a plain MP4 you can download and upload wherever you want. You're never locked to our player or a single help-desk vendor.

Do I have to put a person on screen?

No. Voice-only ships a complete, polished video from start to finish, and it's the default here, not a fallback. An on-screen presenter is there if you want one, but it's never required.

What results can I expect?

Fewer repeats of the same ticket, and a help center people finish instead of abandon. The research behind that is solid. Gartner's 2024 survey found 73% of customers try self-service but only 14% fully resolve their issue, and in 43% of failed attempts they simply couldn't find content relevant to their problem. Format is a large part of that gap: 83% of people name video as a preferred way to consume instructional content, against 41% for text (TechSmith, 2024), and a 2021 meta-analysis of randomised trials found that adding video to existing material produced a large improvement in learning — large enough that the average student who got the video outperformed about 79% of the students who didn't. There is a newer reason too. Now that an article can be generated in seconds, help centers are filling up with text that reads like nobody was there. A short video of your own product, walked through screen by screen, is the opposite of generic: it shows the actual thing, in the actual interface, which is the one thing generated prose cannot fake. It answers the question and it shows somebody took the trouble.
